He is survived by his wife, Shirley T. Palmer; two daughters, Deanna Glover and husband, Perry of Mechanicsville, Virginia, and Angel Harris and fiancé, Michael D. Caldwell of Duluth, Georgia; three sisters, Phyllis Palmer-Bland, and husband, George, Mary Hill and husband, Ellis, and Maxine Palmer, all of Palmyra, Virginia; a brother, Welton Palmer of Bremo Bluff, Virginia; three granddaughters, Jasmine Harris of Winter Haven, Florida, and Zhade Bates, and Lucy Woodson, both of Charlottesville, Virginia; also a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
A funeral service will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday, December 19, 2015, at the Central Elementary Scholl Auditorium, Palmyra, Virginia. Interment will be held at the Oak Hill Cemetery, Bremo Bluff, Virginia. The Reverend Leroy Ross will officiate. Arrangements by the Colbert Funeral Home, Bremo Bluff, Virginia.
