Mavis Pickle Alford, 94, of Kosciusko, passed away December 11, 2015.

Funeral services will be held at Jordan Funeral Home in Kosciusko on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at 11:00 am with her burial at Parkway Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make any donations to the First Baptist Church of Kosciusko.

Mavis, lovingly called Gee Gee by her family, was preceded in death by her husband, Ret. Col. Bennett W. Alford, in 2000. She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Alford Champagne (wife to Lynn); her three grandchildren: Michael (husband to Nicole), David (husband to Jodi), and Julie; plus her four great-grandchildren: Kylee, James, Amy, and Matthew.

Mavis lit up a room with her vivacious personality and her love of life. Her joys were reading, cooking, dancing, Christmas, the color red, making sure her yard and house were immaculate, playing bridge, and loving her family and friends.
