Mrs. Belle Grove, widow of William Grove, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. R. E. Long, 16 East Pennsylvania Avenue, Mount Union, at 12:45 a.m. on Saturday, September 22, 1945. She was past ninety-one years of age and death was attributed to the infirmities of advanced years.

Mrs. Grove was born in Shade Valley on May 13, 1854, the daughter of Abraham and Caroline Bollinger.

In 1878 she was united in marriage to William Grove of Orbisonia and they established their home at that place, Mr. Grove being employed by the Rockhill Furnace Company. Mrs. Grove continued to live in Orbisonia after the death of her husband some years ago, until December, 1944, when her health became more frail and she went to make r home with her son-in-law and daughter Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Long, Mount Union, at whose home she died.

Mrs. Grove was a highly respected woman, devoted to her home and family. She was he oldest member of the Orbisonia Methodist Church and one of the oldest residents of Huntingdon County.

Surviving are three daughters and one son: Miss Edith Grove, Pittsburgh; Edna (Mrs. Merle Peterson, Pittsburgh); Ray Grove, Orbisonia; and Mrs. R. E. Long, Mount Union. There are sixteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. One sister, Mrs. Laura Barnhardt of Orbisonia, also survives.

The funeral service will be held at the Long home in Mount Union at 10:30 on Tuesday, the Rev. Edgar A. Henry, pastor of the First Methodist Church, Mount Union, and the Rev. C. B. Littleton, pastor of the Methodist Church in Orbisonia, officiating. Interment will be made in the Oribsonia cemetery y Clark's funeral service. Friends my call at the Long home after 10 o'clock Monday morning.
