Obituary of Mike Mangan
Mr. Mike Mangan, age 76, long time resident of San Augustine, passed from this life Monday, December 14, 2015, in Nacogdoches.
Mike was born to Mary (Sublett) Mangan and Col. Walter David Mangan on August 9, 1939, in Pittsburg, Pa. He was a General Contractor involved in land management and was a Heavy Equipment Operator. He loved the outdoors, being in nature was his true calling where he loved tending to cattle and loved being on his tractor on his farm. Overall, and most important was being with his family, he truly cherished those times.
He is survived and missed the most by, Sons, Mickey Mangan of San Augustine; Max Mangan and his wife, Sonya of Chireno; Daughter, Sarah Brooks and her husband, Paul of LaGrange; Sister, Sissy Mangan of San Augustine and Brother, David Mangan of San Antonio; His beloved grandchildren, Amanda (Brooks) Hartsell and her husband, Lee of Bastrop; Melissa Mangan of Chireno; Cayce Mangan of Chireno; Cray Mangan of Chirenol Tony Brooks and his wife, Rhonda of LaGrange and children; Toby Brooks and his wife, Tiffani and children, of Carmine.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Mary (Sublett) Mangan and Col. Walter David Mangan.
Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, December 17, 2015, in the Wyman Roberts Memorial Chapel with Bro. Chris Burrows, and Charles Sharp officiating. Burial will follow in the Liberty Hill Memorial Gardens in San Augustine County. Visitation will be Wednesday evening, December 16, 2015 from the hours of 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Wyman Roberts Funeral Home, 316 West Columbia Street, San Augustine, Texas. 75972
