James Martin

US Revolutionary War Pvt. James Martin Continental Army served in Captain Anderson's Company, 1st Battalion, N.J. Brigade.

James Martin wore the blue and red uniform of the New Jersey Brigade. He served in such battles as Monmouth and Springfield and survived the winter at Valley Forge. After the war, he operated a tavern in Quibbletown (New Market).
