Willie "Mae" Arnold Key, 97, passed away on July 3, 2015 at North Delta Hospice House in Southaven. Mae was born in Charleston, MS to the late Dorsey M. and Mary Gray. She married William R. Arnold in 1937. They had three beloved sons. In Charleston, she worked as a seamstress in a factory. Later she and her husband moved to the Memphis area and she worked for Goldsmith's and I-Rosen Men's store doing alterations. Her husband of 39 years, William R. Arnold, Sr. passed in 1976. Mae began doing alterations at her home and one of her good customers was Mr. Edwin Key, they fell in love and married in 1984. She and Ed had many wonderful years together. They took vacations, went dancing and enjoyed their great-grandchildren's birthdays. Ed was as good for her as she was for him. He passed away in 2009. Mae was also preceded in death by her brother, Malcome Gray. She leaves her three sons: William R. Arnold, Jr. of Independence, MS, Wiley Morris Arnold (Jackie) of Nesbit, MS and Joseph G. Arnold of Biloxi, MS; two stepchildren: Glenn Key of Memphis and Ellen Gagne of New Hampshire; six grand-children: Katrina King (Jay), Tanya McCreary (Norman), Allen Arnold, Joseph Blake Arnold, Victoria Key and Anita Marie; six great-grandchildren: Rachel, Amanda, Heather and Andrea King, Shelby McCreary and Alexis. Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Monday, July 6 with service starting at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Forest Hill South Cemetery.
