LORIS | Mrs. Janice Kay Baldwin Dimsdale, age 61, died Monday, May 8, 2006, at her home following an illness.

Born July 9, 1944 in Ingham County, Michigan, Mrs. Dimsdale was the daughter of the late Charles Everette and the late Flora Upton Baldwin.

Survivors include one son, Ken Hughes, of Loris; two daughters, Beverly Ward of Forest City, N.C., and Teresa Hall of Rutherfordton, N.C. She is also survived by four sisters, Freda Garrity of Hutchinson Island, Fla., Charlene Tiny Ware of Murrells Inlet, Phyllis Haynes and Judy McGee, both of Forest City, N.C.; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 11, 2006, at Providence United Methodist Church in Forest City, N.C. with burial following at Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery, officiated by the Rev. David Bradley. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening, May 10, 2006, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Harrelson Funeral Home in Forest City, N.C.
