KENNETH BLUE Kenneth Blue, 70, of Laurel, died Monday, July 2, 2001, at South Central Regional Medical Center in Laurel. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, at Memory Chapel Funeral Home in Laurel, with burial in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Wayne County. The Rev. Dave Moran will officiate. He served during the Korean Conflict in the United States Air Force and honorably discharged from military service in 1958. He retired from Masonite Corp. after 25 years and taught metal trades with the Wayne County School System. He was preceded in death by his mother, Eva S. Blue; father, Same Blue; and two brothers, S.E. "Doc" Blue and W.E. "Jack" Blue. He is survived by his wife, Nancy B. Blue; three daughters and sons-in-law, Patsy and Mike Reon, Kameye and Carl Hankins and Shirley and Donnie Sellers, all of Laurel; one grandson, Jarrod Hankins of Laurel; three nieces, Linda Johnson, Lela Bynum and Libby McDade, all of Laurel; and two nephews, Larry Blue and Lamar Blue, all of Laurel. Pallbearers will be Jerry Sellers, Wayne Sellers, Ceiborn Gainey, Pat Thompson, John Thompson and Hilton Hadge. Honorary pallbearer will be Jarrod Hankins. Visitation will be held from 5-9 p.m. today, at Memory Chapel Funeral Home in Laurel, which is in charge of arrangements.
