26 Aug 2006: Kenneth Richard "Kockie" Koch was freed from pain Friday, August 25, 2006. He passed into eternal life in the arms of his loving companion, Bonnie Shank, at the Lebanon VA Hospital Hospice Unit. Ken was born December 29, 1939, in Lebanon, a son of the late Joseph Richard Koch and Sadie (Betz) Bender. He was a graduate of Annville High School Class of 1957 and served in the US Army from 1957 thru 1960. In addition to his loving companion Bonnie, he is survived by his devoted daughter Ardell L. Rexrode, son-in-law Clyde Rexrode and granddaughter Elicia M. Rexrode, Lebanon; brother Ronald Joseph Kock, husband of Sharon Koch, Hummelstown; nephew Bruce Koch; husband of Michele Koch, Hummelstown, and niece Julia, wife of Dana Stover, Palmyra. He was preceded in death by his sister Savilla Dohner. Ken was the owner of Koch Opitcal in Lebanon for 26 years and worked at the Milton Hershey School Health Center providing eyeglasses to their students for 25 years. Prior to opening Koch Opitcal he was employed by Berks Optical. Kochie was an avid NASCAR fan, loved riding motorcycle, attending NASCAR races, RVing, fishing and spending time with his family and friends. He was a lifetime member of Lebanon VFW Post 23 where he recently served as Trustee, Lebanon Valley Motorcycle Club and Lebanon Elks. He was also a member of Masonic Lodge #704 (Tall Cedars of Lebanon, Harrisburg Consistory and Reading Shrine), Navy Club Ship 91; Myerstown VFW Post 6076, Perseverance Fire Company Jonestown, Friendship Frie Company, Maennorchor Club, Newmanstown Athletic Association, The Little Club, Cumberland Club and The Draggin Dutchman.
