She enjoyed the simple pleasures of life when shopping and eating out at her favorite restaurants. Pirie was a fan of all sports, especially the Pittsburgh Steelers. She loved drawing and writing and was always prepared to do so by having her pencil and notebook in hand.
Pirie is survived by her loyal and devoted friend, who she lovingly called "Mother": Roberta "Birdie" Ziegler and family of New Brighton; and her dear friend: Kay Panella of Wampum, who Pirie also lovingly called "Mother."
To honor and celebrate her life, a service was held December 7, 2015, in the SAUL-GABAUER FUNERAL HOME, INC., at Sylvania Hills, Rochester, with the Reverend Roland Gray, III of the Beaver Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, officiating. Private entombment, next to her parents, followed in the Beaver Cemetery Mausoleum. Online condolences may be offered at www.saul-gabauer.com.
