MALAD CITY - Mrs. Martha Alice Williams Richards, age 89, died Saturday at 7 a.m. at a Bremerton, Wash., hospital after a short illness.

She was born Oct 14, 1874, at Salt Lake City, Utah, a daughter of David M. and Elizabeth Richards Williams.

She was married to Parley Morgan Richards Aug. 23, 1893, in Malad. The marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS temple. Mr. Richards died Dec. 9, 1954. She received her education in the St. John schools and was active in the LDS church.

Survivors include four sons and one daughter: Robert Lyle Richards, Ogden; Thomas Earl Richards, Bremerton, Wash.; Franklin D. Richards, Myrtle Point, Ore.; Reed R. Richards, Coeur d' Alene, and Mrs. Edwin (Ruby) Foglesong, Wendover, Utah; 18 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral service will be Friday at 1 p.m. in the Malad Fourth Ward LDS chapel with Bishop J. Arthur Servoss officiating.
