Harry Bever, 92, of Knightstown passed away Thursday, Dec. 10,2015 at his residence after a lengthy illness.

He was born May 15,1923 in Rush Co., to Ivan Lycurgus and Lillian Maurine (Houchins) Bever.

A lifelong farmer in Henry and Rush Counties, He was previously employed at Dayton Air Force Base. He was a member of the Rushville Masonic Lodge and Knightstown Lions Club. he was a member of Knightstown Christian Church where he formerly served as an Elder and a Deacon. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed welding and carpentry. He enjoyed spending winters in Florida.

Survivors include three children: Sharon Muncy of Knightstown, Larry (Debbi) Bever of Spiceland and Nina Wolfe of Knightstown; seven grandchildren: Brett Muncy and J.B. Muncy, Dawnell Hall, Jason Bever, Chad Bever, John Hinton and Joe Hinton. Also, nineteen great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred M. (Meyer) Bever on Apr. 3,2003 and a sister, Eloise Gilmore.

Funeral services at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 14,2015 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Services, Knightstown Chapel with Rev. David Bonne officiating.

Burial follows in Glen Cove Cemetery, Knightstown.
