Mrs. Mary E. (Strantz) Hildenbrand, 80, formerly of Lafayette, died at 5:15 p. m. Saturday, July 25, at the Mulberry Lutheran Home, where she had resided for the past 18 months. She had been in failing health for two years.

Born in Warren county, near Green Hill, she married George L. Hildenbrand in 1906. He died in 1953. She had lived in Lafayette for 40 years, going there from Green Hill. She was a member of Holy Trinity English church, Lafayette.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Robert Fickle and Mrs. Milton Leverenz of Lafayette; four sons, J. William and Paul F., Lafayette, and twin sons, Robert and Richard of Indianapolis; a brother, Rudolph Strantz of Lafayette, and five sisters, Misses Anna, Bertha and Minna Strantz and Mrs. Carrie Richardson, Lafayette, and Mrs. Frank Lizenby, Medaryville.

Services were conducted at 1 p. m. Monday at the Mulberry Lutheran Home and at 10 a. m. Tuesday at the Soller-Baker Funeral Home in Lafayette, with the Rev. H. C. Stolldorf officiating. Burial was in Ashbury cemetery, near Green Hill.
