Mrs. Emily Crowder, mother of Mrs. Amelia Blake, died at 10 o'clock this morning at the home of the latter on E. Walnut St. Mrs. Crowder who is 87 years old, has been failing for the past 3 months but had been confined to her bed for less than a month. Mrs. Crowder and husband came to Bentonville from North Carolina before the Civil War and were among the oldest settlers of the county. Mr. Crowder died many years ago.
