From John Wyatt and his wife Rachel Calloway then to Elizabeth Wyatt and her husband Joseph Oates (7 Aug 1697-unk) -Joseph Oates father and mother were James Oates (1647- 3 Oct 1703) and Elizabeth Perry. You then descended from Joseph Oates to his son Jethro Oates (1732-1780) and his wife Artesha who was a full blooded Cherokee Indian, to their son Jesse Oates (ca1756- 10 Aug 1831) and his wife Zilpha Mason, then to Harriet Oates (14 Dec 1814-unk) and her husband Robert M. Randolph and then to their daughter Nancy Ann Randolph'1845-unk) who was the little girl in your history books to whom the English General Cornwallis gave his silver knee buckles during the Revolutionary War.
