Denver - Elizabeth Leree Abernathy, 85, passed away on November 13, 2015 at Catawba Regional Hospice-Sherrills Ford.
She was born on March 15, 1930, in Gaston County, to the late Major and Myrtle (McAlister) Abernathy.
Miss Abernathy was preceded in death by three sisters; Margaret Brooks, Marie Abernathy, and Pauline Abernathy.
She is survived by three brothers; six sisters; niece and caregiver; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Interment in Friendly Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery, Denver, N.C.
