Bessie Lee Alexander Aiken, 86, widow of Arthur Aiken, of 824 Fox Squirrel Ridge Road, died Wednesday, April 11, 2001.

Born in Jackson County, NC, she was a daughter of the late Tolvin and Nettie Owens Alexander.

Survivors: A son, Charles Aiken of Spindale, NC; a daughter, Mary Rochester of Seneca; sisters, Lula Ferguson of Pickens and Winifred Robinson of Liberty; a brother, Wallace Alexander of Pickens; 4 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation 6-8pm today at Dillard Memorial Funeral Home. Service 2pm Friday at the funeral chapel. Burial Hillcrest Memorial Park and Gardens. Published in The Greenville News on Apr. 12, 2001
