West St. Paul Booster and Dakota County Globe, Friday, February 22, 1946. Hemmorhage Fatal to Millard Alsip. Funeral services for Millard Alsip, a resident of Inver Grove Township for many years, were held Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the Southern Funeral Home with the Rev. T.L. Kurtz, pastor of St. Paulus Lutheran church, of South St. Paul conducting the services. Burial was made in the General Lutheran cemetery. Mr. Alsip was born 78 years ago in Hagerstown, Maryland. He resided on the German Road in Inver Grove township. Saturday, Mr. Alsip ate a good meal for supper and later in the evening before retiring complained of having a headache. At 12 o'clock midnight he suffered a cerrebal hemmorhage from which he never regained consciousness. He is survived by seven sons, Harold of Oelwein, Iowa, John of Stanley, Iowa, Charlie and Clarence of South of St. Paul, Harry of Minneapolis, Kenneth and Allen of St. Paul, two dughters Virginia of Minneapolis and Marion of St.Paul, 12 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
