"Obituary ... - Has a Son and Daughter Here - Reuben Schlappig died suddenly at Reading on Tuesday evening. He was the father of Herman Schlappig, employed by Dr. Brobst, and Mrs. Leonard Conrad, living on H. Reist Landis' farm about two miles north-west of Lititz. Mr. Schlappig had been in Buena Vista, Col., working as a gold miner with John Mohr, brother-in-law to Dr. Brobst, but came east only two weeks ago. For nineteen years deceased was station agent at Mohrsville, Berks county, where he will be buried next Tuesday."
