Leona Shipley, Rt. 1, Fortville, died Friday at a local nursing home, she was 79.
Mrs. Shipley, a lifelong resident of Hancock County, was born March 28, 1898, the daughter of Ed Dobbins and Angeline Chappel. She was the widow of Huey Shipley who died in July.
Surviving are two sisters, Oval Wilson, Greenfield; Maude Johnson, Indianapolis, and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Pasco Memorial Mortuary. Interment will follow in Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Sunday.
