Robert D. Myers, 81, of Arlington passed away Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2015. Graveside service: 2 p.m. Tuesday in Devotion Garden, Moore Memorial Gardens, in Arlington. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Moore Funeral Home in Arlington. Robert D. Myers was born in Rising Star on Oct. 28, 1934, to Will and Willie Myers. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1954 to 1958. He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a bachelor's degree in accounting. He was with the Dallas office of Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & Co. from 1961 to 1965. He retired from RadioShack in 1989 after 19 years and attaining the position of executive vice president of Business Products. Bob's grandchildren were the joy of his life. They called him "Bob-Bob." Survivors: He is survived by his wife, Carolyn "Susie"; sons, Steven and Michael and his wife, Holly; grandchildren, Brandon and Ryleigh; sister, Novella Faulkner and her husband, Neil; and several nieces and nephews.
