Lanny Cordell (Corey) Elliott, 53, passed away unexpectedly December 3, 2015, while on his annual Louisiana fishing trip. He was born March 8, 1962 in Ray County to Buck and Sharon (Gryder) Elliott. He was married for 31 years to Debbie (Ragar) Elliott. Survivors include: two daughters Bridgett and Jeremy Kellum and Cortney and Kyle Campbell. Seven grandchildren: Jerett, Braden, and Josiah Cordell, Easton Kay, Kyson, Jordan and Destiny. Survived by his dad Buck Elliott, mother-in-law, Cleta Cowley, sister Sherrie and Jim Silvey, brothers Casey Elliott and Scott and Tamara Elliott, brother in-law Mark and Shirley Ragar, sister in-law Rhonda and Darrell Simmons and numerous nieces and nephews. Corey was preceded in death by his mother Sharon, and his father in-law Bud Ragar and grandparents. He was a graduate of Lawson High School class of 1980. He was a partner in his dad’s business Elliott Construction Company (ECCO) with his two brothers. He had recently retired from ECCO. Corey loved spending time with family, all sports especially those his grandchildren were involved in, fishing and being at the Lake of the Ozarks. He was also an avid Chiefs, Royals and Nascar fan. Celebration of life will be Wednesday 4-6 p.m. December 9, at Hidden Valley Funeral Home in Lawson, MO. In lieu of flowers family is requesting donations to Charcot-Marie-Tooth Association which can be left in care of the funeral home.
