William Wayne Branch, age 62, of Morganton, NC, passed away Friday, December 4, 2015 at his residence.
A native of Burke County, NC, Mr. Branch, a loving father, brother and friend, was born September 18, 1953 and was the son of the late William C. Branch and Willie F. Childers Branch. Following 20 years of service, William retired from the United States Air Force (MSgt) having served during Operation Desert Shield/Storm. He was a member of the North Carolina Anfp.
He is survived by one daughter, Kelly Branch; one son, Barry Branch and eight siblings, Bessie Maloney, Marie Cook, Kathryn E. Buff, George A. Branch, David A. Branch, Kay Smith, Teresa Michaels and Anita Branch.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 8, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Heritage Funeral Services in Valdese.
A graveside service, with military honors provided by the United States Air Force, will be held Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Burke Memorial Park.
