Mr. Ferdinand J. Mack Sr., of Frederick, MD, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 30, 2015, at age 87. Born in Ozone Park, New York, “Fred” grew up in Connecticut.

After school, he enlisted in the U.S. Marines and then utilized his G.I. Bill benefits in order to train for and pass the bar exam.

He maintained a legal practice as a successful and thoughtful advocate for his clients in a variety of legal areas in both Maryland and D.C. Fred was also an avid private pilot, and trained and showed championship horses that he and his family raised.

Fred was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy, and wife, Mildred; sons, Stephen and Jeffrey; and grandson, Aaron.

He leaves behind his children, John, Jennifer, Amanda, Adrianne and Ferdi; and grandchildren, Ashley, Alena, Austin, Marshall and Morgan.

A remembrance service will be held on Sunday, December 13, at 2 p.m. at the National Aviation Community Center, 296 Bucheimer Road, Frederick, Maryland.
