His 1st wife, Helen (Betchel) Batten died Sat. Nov 6, 1938 residence, 1861 Belmore rd., East Cleveland, OH - the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Bechtel, sister of Charles, John, George, Paul and Sarah Jane Bechtel.

His 2nd wife, Sally Batten born May 4, 1898 (or 1904?), died Dec 14, 1982 age 77(?) at home in Cleveland.

EARL & HELEN'S DAUGHTER: Mrs Lois Jean "Tootie" Hunter, a nurse, born Jan 25, 1926 in Cleveland, died Jan 16, 2011 age 85 at Clover Manor, Auburn, Androscoggin Co, Maine. She married April 26, 1947, William E. Hunter. He was born May 26, 1920 and died May 3, 1984 age 63, a retired patrolman.
