Anderson was a native of Fort Worth, TX.
He began his career with the railroad in it's mail room and was an engineer for the last 36 years. During World War II, he engineered a private train from Ft Worth of the late President Franklin D. Roosevelt out of Ft. Worth.
He was an active member of the North Side Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Margaret Anderson: a daughter Mary Bucci of Thousand Oaks, Calif: a son, Johnny D. Anderson of Ft. Worth: a brother, the Rev.E. R. Anderson of Ft. Worth and three grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at Harveson & Cole Chapel. Burial at Greenwood.
