SNOW HILL | Mrs. Edna B. Beaman, 90, died Wednesday morning, December 2, 2015, at her home. A native of Greene County, she was born October 7, 1925, the daughter of Waddell and Rosa Heath Beaman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Mack Beaman and Tommy Wainwright. Her surviving family includes her husband, Sam Beaman of the home; children, Gerald Beaman and wife Jane, of Snow Hill, Donald Beaman and wife Sandy, of Snow Hill, and Peggy Beaman Hart and husband Nelson, of Wilson; sisters, Rebecca Hardison of Maryland and Emma Blanche ""Sugie"" Bates of Alabama; eight grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and four step great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, December 6, at the Snow Hill Cemetery with Pastor Rick Mondell officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Taylor-Tyson Funeral Service and other times at the residence, 313 Beaman Old Creek Road, Snow Hill. Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church, PO Box 484, Snow Hill, NC 28580 or to the Snow Hill Presbyterian Church, PO Box 495, Snow Hill, NC 28580. The family would like to thank the caregivers that have been so faithful and kind, Irma Corbett, Hope Vick, Jordan Barrow, and Community Home Care and Hospice.
