A.C. Hemenway
Services for Mr. A.C. "Bert" Hemenway, of 530 W. Boulder, will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Law Drawing Room, the Rev. Warren Hile officiating. Mr. Hemenway, 81, died Sunday in a local hospital. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Mr. Hemenway was born on Nov. 3, 1886, on the Bates Ranch, south of Colorado Springs, now known as the Sinton Dairy Farm, and had lived here since. He attended local schools and was both a rancher in the Ellicott District and a bus driver for Ellicott schools. In Colorado Springs he worked for the General Hardware Company until retirement. Mr. Hemenway is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Gladys Lee and Mrs. Frankie Mae Bishop, both of Colorado Springs and Mrs. Lula Lungberg, of Bentonville, Ark,; his brother, Leon, of San Diego, calif,; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and two nieces.
