MUNCIE--Services for Betty J. Botkin, 80, will be at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Mary's Catholic Church. Entombment will be in Elm Ridge Mausoleum. There will be no calling hours.
Mrs. Botkin died Friday in Muncie Health and Rehabilitation Center after a long illness.
Mrs. Botkin was a lifelong resident of Muncie. She graduated from Central High School in 1933. She graduated from Indiana University, and worked for many years as a writer for Muncie newspapers.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic church and a former member of Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority and the Psi Iota Zi Sorority.
Survivors include a daughter, Susan Botkin Grimes, and a niece, Anna Hynes (husband: J.T.).
A son is deceased.
