Velma Lois Aldridge, 84, died Dec. 1, 2015, at DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa. Graveside services will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Unity Grove Cemetery in Palmetto with Bobbie Jean Haggler officiating. Ms. Aldridge was born Dec. 19, 1930, to the late J.G. and Mellie Wilson in Pickens County. She was previously employed as a factory worker for Westinghouse. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister and five brothers. She is survived by her daughter, Diane Hudson of Sulligent; brother, Ralph Wilson of Palmetto; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
