PAULINE W SHAFFER
Formerly of 5306 5th Ave. , died at 11:50 a.m. yesterday, Feb. 22, 1973, in J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital, Huntingdon. She was born June 22, 1898, in Altoona, daughter of Englebert and Mary (Strittmatter) Buechele, and married Harold C. Shaffer. Surviving are four children Robert G. and Mrs. Betty McGregor of Altoona, Mrs. Margaret Filson of Hesston, with whom she resided, and Donald E. of Wilmington, Del.; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Mrs. Shaffer was a retired switchboard operator at Altoona Hospital. She was a member of St. Rose and Lima Catholic Church, National Secrectaries' Association and Red Cross Gray Ladies. She was past president of the Junior Auxiliary of Mercy Hospital and was active in Girl Scouting. Friends will be received the the Stevens Mortuary today from 7 to 9 p.m.
