Funeral services for Martha S. Hunter, 96, widow of John T. Hunter, will be held tomorrow in the Christian Church in Campbellsburg. A native of Lawrence County. Mrs. Hunter died Thursday at the home of her son James L. Baker, in Campbellsburg. Her death followed a short illness. Martha Hunter was born in the Fishing Creek neighborhood of Lawrence County on March 23, 1858, to James and Elizabeth Smith. She was a member of Campbellsburg Christian Church. Mrs. Hunter was first married to James Baker, later to John T. Hunter. Survivors are one son, James L. Baker, cashier of the Campbellsburg State Bank; two step-sons, two grandchildren. A daughter, Mrs. Maude Baker Kelso, and one infant son preceded her in death. The body is in state at the Chastian Funeral Home in Campbellsburg, and will remain there until the 1:30 p.m. funeral hour when it will be taken to Campbellsburg Christian Church for funeral services at that time Sunday. Burial will be at Talbot Cemetery.
