Danny McDaniel, 63, of Elk City, Oklahoma was born on November 17, 1952 in Cheyenne, Oklahoma. He is the son of Floyd Eugene and Margie Jewell (Jackson) McDaniel. Danny went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, November 29, 2015 in Fritch, Texas.
Danny is a longtime resident of Elk City where he worked in the oil and gas industry. He enjoyed fishing, garage sales, and visiting with people. Most of all Danny enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. Danny served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged in March of 1973.
Danny is survived by his two daughters, Michelle Dawn Bagley of Perryton, Texas, and Cassie Jewell Benedict of Eagle River, Alaska; four grandchildren, Kaylee Bagley, Kenna Benedict, Emerson Benedict, and Landon Benedict; two sisters, Jacquelyn Padgett, and her husband Marc of Perryton, Texas, Charlotte Sue Creswell, and her husband Rick of Lubbock, Texas, and; sister-in-law, Linda McDaniel of Hammon, Oklahoma; his step-mother, Katherine Bacon of Elk City, Oklahoma; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, great nieces and nephews, and many friends, both young, and old.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Gene and Margie McDaniel, three brothers, Floyd, Lloyd, and Bill McDaniel, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 3, 2015 at Martin-Dugger Funeral Home in Elk City, Oklahoma. Pastor Andy Taylor will officiate. Interment will be at Cheyenne Cemetery, Cheyenne, Oklahoma.
