Esther Caroline Rawson b. 15 Dec 1836 Sandusky, OH dau of George C. and Ruth (Phillips) Rawson; d. 28 May 1937 Vicksburg, MS. She m. 17 Oct 1859 Newark, OH Francis Newell Steele. Esther was a direct descendant of Edward 1 Rawson, Secretary of the Massachusetts Colony through her father.
