Jo Ann Ladd, 80 of Newbern, Tennessee died on Monday, November 30, 2015, at Tennova Healthcare-Dyersburg Regional in Dyersburg, Tennessee.
Born Friday, March 22, 1935 in Dyer County, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Allen Edward Balthrop and the late Gladys Brown Balthrop.
She was a retired clerk with the Federal Home Administration and member of the Newbern First Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM on Thursday, December 3, 2015 in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Klutts officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Newbern, Tennessee. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.
She is survived by two sons, Mike Ladd and wife Allicia of Newbern, Tennessee and Jeff Ladd and wife Tammy of Newbern, Tennessee; one daughter, Pamela Funderburk and husband Charles of Newbern, Tennessee; two sisters, Sue Ladd of Greenfield, Tennessee and Kate Ladd of Memphis, Tennessee; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers, Billy Balthrop, Ralph "Shorty" Balthrop and Edd Balthrop.
Pallbearers will be Thomas Dennison, Heath Ladd, Dee Ladd, Connor Ladd, Blake Funderburk and Cain Johnson.
The family ask that any memorials be directed to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 North Michigan Avenue, 17th Floor, Chicago, Illinois 60601-7633 or the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box #11454, Alexandria, Virginia 22311.
