DELBERT SHARKEY, RETIRED FARMER, DIES AT WOLCOTT:
Delbert Sharkey, 76, a retired farmer, died in the Churchill Convalescent home, Wolcott, at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday. He had been ill a year and a patient in the home a week.
Born in Princeton Twp, he was married to Sadie James in 1908 and they lived at Kokomo three years before moving to a farm two and one-half miles west of Wolcott in 1911. They lived there until moving to Wolcott in 1948. He was a member of the Christian church.
Surviving with the widow are four sons, Ralph of Wolcott, Roger and Delbert of Indianapolis and Jim of Twin Falls, ID; a daughter, Mrs Opal McCarthy of Indianapolis; a brother, Edward of Los Angeles; a sister, Mrs Dema May of Earl Park, formerly of Remington; 12 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Foster funeral home of Wolcott is in charge of arrangements.
