Charles Ralph Davis, 86, West Frankfort, died at 10:30 am Monday, March 7, 1983 at the Creal Springs Nursing Home. He was born in Hamilton County to the late James and Nancy Vineyard Davis. He was married to Pearl Edwards on November 7, 1916 in Carmi and she survives. Other survivors include a daughter, Muriel Vincent of West Frankfort, one grandson, Larry Vincent of Marion, a granddaughter, Connie Vincent of West Frankfort and 3 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Davis was a former coal miner and had retired from Old Ben Mine No. 11 in 1953. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of the American Legion. Funeral services will be at the Parker-Reedy Funeral Home in West Frankfort with Brother Ralph Swarthout officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion.
