Woodrow Wilson Red, age 97 of Alexander, Arkansas, passed away November 23, 2015. He was born to Charles A. and Margaret C. Red on July 17, 1918. Woodrow was a member and a deacon of Unity Missionary Baptist Church in Little Rock, Arkansas. He served in the US Coast Guard during WWII. He also worked as a letter carrier for the US Postal Service. Woodrow was inducted into the Tacoma – Pierce County “Old Timers” Hall of Fame in 2003 (fast pitch softball).

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Sammie Red; eight brothers and one sister.

He is survived by his children: Michael Wilson Red (wife – LaJo), John Harrison Red; two grandchildren: Michael Shane Red (wife – Ashley), and Shanna Jo Lewter (husband – Bo); and five great-grand children: Shane Andrew Red, Leo Ashton Red, Jack Porter Red, Caleb Thomas Lewter, and Carson Lee Lewter.

Graveside services will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at 10:00am with Pastor Mark Harris officiating.
