She was the second child of three daughters born September 3, 1921 in Lehi to Wade Hampton Parrish and Chloe Mabel Felt. She was a lifetime resident of Ibapah.
She had a deep love and concern for her family and friends and desired to help everyone she could. She loved the Lord, believing in his ultimate power. She served tirelessly in many capacities as an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She had an "almost selfish love" for her husband, Rao H. Bateman, whom she married on May 15, 1943 in Salt Lake City (marriage solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple in 1968). She felt blessed to have three wonderful sons: Ronald Rao (Beverly), Kyle Wade (Ranae), and Randy Leon (Tracie). She was engaged in cattle ranching along with her husband, Rao, along with raising her sons.
She is survived by her sons and wives, along with sixteen grandchildren, thirty-three great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by her brother-in-law, Gerald Cook. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and two sisters, Blanch Bean and Joyce Cook.
Funeral services will be held at Jenkins Soffe South Valley Mortuary, 1007 West South Jordan Parkway (10600 South), on Friday, October 9, 2015 at 12:00 p.m. A viewing will be held prior from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Interment will be in the Salt Lake City Cemetery.
