OBITUARY-ADAMS
Wilson Adams, father of Mrs. William Brinker, of this place, died October 20, 1921, at the home of another daughter, Mrs. George Saum, at Adrian, Missouri. The deceased was born May 14, 1836, in Ross county, Ohio, and moved later to Iowa, from which state he enlisted for service in the Civil War. He was in the siege of Vicksburg, besides numerous other engagements. He was married at Richmond, Iowa, September 27, 1866, and five children were born, two of whom are still living, Mrs. William Brinker, of Goodland, and Mrs. George Saum, of Adrian, Missouri. He moved to Norton county, August 15, 1878, and was probate judge of that county for eight years. Mr. Adams was active in politics, and was a staunch Republican. His wife passed away several years ago. Mr. Adams lived in Goodland at one time. Mrs. Brinker was called to Adrian by the serious illness of her father, but he passed away before she reached his bedside. During his lifetime he was an active member of the Masons and Odd Fellows. The funeral was held at Adrian, Saturday, October 22.
