LITTLE TRAVERSE LAKE - Margaret Anna Borsch, 88, of Little Traverse Lake, died at home Aug. 17, 2003. Born Sept. 10, 1914, in Leland, she was the daughter of William and Matilda (Steffens) Buckler. On May 8, 1947, in Leland, she married Arthur John Borsch, who preceded her in death on Dec. 24, 1978. Margaret and Arthur were the owners and operators of Sandy Knoll Resort on Little Traverse Lake. She was also a dental technician. An avid golfer, she loved the game and was a member of the Sleeping Bear Golf League. Margaret was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Leland, and was an active member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Good Harbor for many years. Margaret is survived by four nephews, William (Elizabeth) Baxter of Bristol, Ind., LaVerne (Jill) Baxter of Maple City, William (Jan) Davis of Maple City and Terry Buckler of Leland; sister-in-law, Eva Buckler of Leland; and many great-nieces and great-nephews. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Walter, Roy and George Buckler; and two sisters, Irene Baxter and Lucille Buckler. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 13, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Good Harbor. The Rev. Robert W. Wurst Jr. and the Rev. Ted Staudacher will be officiating. Burial will be in Cleveland Township Cemetery.
