Funeral services for Mary Fouts will be held at 10:30 Saturday morning at the Rogers-Atkins Funeral home in Salem, with Rusty Courson officiating. Burial in the Alma Cemetery. Visitation will be after 9:30 Saturday morning until the time of the service. Memorials may be made to the family.
Mary Fouts is survived by husband: Jimmie Fouts of Salem; two daughters: Hope Jones and husband Willie of Kell; Kristy Burr and husband Bobby of Salem; 3 step-sons: Mark Spellman and wife Diana; Tim Spellman and wife Lacigale; Kent Spellman and wife Amy all of Independent, Kansas; two brothers: Duane Essex of Salem; Kenneth Essex and wife Di of Panama, IL; grandchildren: Michael Hill and fiance Amber Letke, Peyton Keath, Paxton Foreman and Baby Boy Foreman; and special friend: Amanda Whitney.
Mary Fouts was born on August 24th, 1949 in Mattoon to Edgbert Essex and Ruby (Carter) Essex. She married Jimmie Fouts on August 8th, 1973. She was preceded in death by her parents; son: Brian Fouts; and sister: Lois Moore.
