Mrs. Ruth Akin Johnson, age 88 of Greensburg, formerly of Louisville, Ky., passed away late Sunday at the Golden Livung Center, Greensburg,- Green Hill.
She was born April 17, 1927, in Green County to the late Arvin Norman Akins & Rosa Ella Sharp Akin.
She made a profession og Faith in Christ and was a member of the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church.She was a retired head Surgical Nurse for St Anthony Hospital in Louiville
She was united in marriage to Claude Kelly Johnson September 28,1950, who preced her in death 1979.
Survivors by nieces & Nephews,Annabelle Henderson,of Summersville, Judith Marie Feirell of Elizabethtown,Janice Akin of Campbellsville, Gordon Thomas Akin of Knob Lick,and Michael Todd Akin of Campbellsville.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister, Cecil Thomas Akin, Finis Akin, and Emily Akin.
The funeral services for Ruth Akin Johnson,will be conducted at 12:00 noon Wednesday at the Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Hogards Chapel Cemetery, Bro A.L.Hardy officiating.
Visitation is requested after 9:30 Wednesday at the Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home until the time of the service.
