Mr. Thomas lived on a farm in Grant County between Marion and LaFontaine 70 years prior to coming to Muncie in 1964. He was a member of First United Presbyterian Church in Muncie; a fifty-year member of LaFontaine Lodge 295, F&AM; Scottish Rite, Valley of Ft. Wayne, and was a past patron of Eastern Star at LaFontaine.
Surviving are his wife, Iva Stevens Thomas; a sister, Mrs. Paul F. McClellan, Marion; his niece, and his nephew.
Services will be held in Meeks Mortuary at 2 p.m. Sunday with Dr. Laurence A. Martin, pastor of First United Presbyterian Church, officiating. Entombment will follow in Elm Ridge Mausoleum 10 a.m. Monday. Friends may call at the mortuary from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday and any time prior to the services Sunday. Memorials may be sent to First United Presbyterian Church in Muncie or to The Masonic Home in Franklin.
