Andrew was most proud of his WW II service in the U.S. Navy both in the United States and North Africa and the Italian Campaigns as a Chief Yeoman's Mate.
Following WWII he attended and graduated from Wheaton College, University of Pennsylvania, earned a Masters at the University of Illinois, and was a Doctoral candidate at New York University; in his professional career - taught at Wheaton College, Resurrection Hospital School of Nursing, and ended his career teaching at Morton West High School in Berwyn for 35 years.
His interests were foreign travel, especially in Greece, stamps, clocks, radios, and WWII history, and was an avid reader of the New York Times.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his name to the Downers Grove Public Library, Berwyn Public Library, or Alzheimer's Association would be appreciated.
