Two records state that Stephen served in Knight's Revolutionary Soldier's and McCall's Roster of Revolutionary Soldier's, both in Georgia. These records are likely incorrect as he was not in Georgia at the time. Most likely he did service in Chatham County, North Carolina and he was listed as Stephen Cron in Captain Isiah Hogan's Company. His name mis-spelled as was the names of his brothers, John, James, and Joshua. His head stone shows "Georgia Troops" so it seems obvious that he did indeed serve in Georgia as well.
My thanks to Phillip Crow for the transfer of Stephen's memorial and the very fine work he is doing with Crow research. Stephen is of the Silver DNA Crows and a son of James Crow and Grace Denson.
