Stanley Augustus Carpenter, of Hawthorne, NY, died November 19, 2015. He was 86. Born in Mt. Kisco, NY on April 26, 1929, the son of LeRoy and Marion Carpenter. A lifelong resident of Hawthorne, he attend Hawthorne Schools, and graduated from Briarcliff High School in 1948. He joined the US Navy, and served on the USS Worcester, and several other naval vessels, earning the Korean Service Medal, China Service Medal, and the Navy Occupation Service Medal.

He was trained as a carpenter-builder by his uncle, Carlton Carpenter, and his grandfather Stanley Washington Carpenter. He was a retired member of United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America. Stanley was a member of Hawthorne Reformed Church.

He was married to Patricia Antaleck, who predeceased him in 1985. He was also predeceased by his brother Robert Carpenter and his sister Ruth Jane Carpenter.

He will be buried in the Hawthorne Reformed Church Yard, in the Carpenter family plot. Funeral arrangements will be at a later date.
