Mr. E.C. Thurmond of Marietta, food service manager for Rich's department stores and the Georgia World Congress Center, who had been ill with cancer, died Friday at Cobb General Hospital. He was 65.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at J. Randy Carmichael funeral home in Smyrna with burial at Georgia Memorial Park Cemetery.
Surviving are his wife, Lottie Jedrazak Thurmond; a son, Marshall L. Thurmond of Powder Springs; his mother, Addie Mae Thurmond of Decatur; a brother, Frank "Otis" Thurmond of Atlanta; and two grandchildren.
