Mrs. Helen S. Adams, 87, died at 9:30 pm Sunday in the Methodist Home in Lewisburg where she lived since September 1966. Daughter of Oran B. and Ada Carson Sollinger, she was born Sept. 12, 1896 in Rockland Township.
She spent her early life there and attended schools there. After she married, they lived in Rocky Grove for many years, moved to Elk Street, then went to Lewisburg in 1966. She was an active member of the Grace United Methodist Church in Rocky Grove more than 40 years, and held a number of offices there. She taught Sunday School classes over 25 years. Sewing was a favorite hobby, and she continued to enjoy that after moving to Lewisburg.
She married A. Riley Adams Feb. 25, 1919, and he died Oct. 4, 1980.
Surviving are three brothers, Donald E. Sollinger of Franklin, H, Dale Sollinger of Erie, and Carl D. Sollinger of Reno; four sisters, Mrs. L. T. (Meredith) Say of Orlando, FL, Mrs. Charles E. (Cecile) Wagner of Franklin, Mrs. John (Elizabeth) Pachia of Zephyr Hills, FL, and Mrs. Lloyd (Martha Jane) Umbaugh of Franklin; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 11 am Wednesday at Huff Chapel. Interment will be in Rockland Cemetery.
