.D. Camp, 67, of Pine Bluff, died Friday, November 20, 2015.

Born Lorenzo Daniel “L.D.” Camp December 22, 1947 in Ferda, Arkansas, he was the son of Willie and Hazel Bearden Camp.

L.D. was reared and received his early education in Altheimer, graduating from Altheimer High School.

He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War, stationed in Milton, Florida.

L.D. worked at Simmons First National Bank. He started at Simmons after high school. He left to serve in the Navy and worked for a short time at the Harlow Sanders Cotton Company. L.D. retired from Simmons in December of 2011 as Assistant Vice President of Information Technology.
He was a member of Oakland Heights Missionary Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon and adult Sunday School teacher. L.D. loved camping, traveling, reading and just enjoying life.

L.D. was preceded in death by his first wife, Jayne Arledge Camp, whom he married November 24, 1967 in Wabbaseka; his parents; and brother, Dr. Wayne Camp.

Survivors include his wife, Carrie Meurer Camp, whom he married November 10, 2006 in Blytheville; two sons, Chris Camp (Tiffany) of White Hall and Derrick Lindsey (Teresa) of White Hall; two daughters, Dana Gammel (Skip) of Sheridan and Becky Lindsey of White Hall; two brothers, Dr. Coy Camp (Bernice) of Blytheville and Chester Camp (Beryl) of Jacksonville; four sisters, Ruthie Golden (Jackie) of Pine Bluff, Nancy Skinner (Leo) of Benton, Yvonne Sinclair (Mack) of Pine Bluff and Ginger Childress (Jim) of California; and seven grandchildren, Ryan Gammel (Cindy), Kirk Gammel, Anna Claire Camp, Brody Camp, Addison Lindsey, Avery Lindsey and Katelyn Hamilton.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 24, 2015 in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son with Reverend Rusty Womble and Dr. Coy Camp officiating.

Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be Monday evening from 5-7 p.m. at Robinson’s.
